Trends / History

Gettysburg, Pa., is one of the most haunted destinations in the United States. The town is the site of the Gettysburg National Battlefield, a turning point in the Civil War. The Battle of Gettysburg also happens to be one of the bloodiest battles in the Civil War. Many visitors and residents of Gettysburg recount haunted occurrences throughout the town. Experience the stories for yourself on a ghost tour of Gettysburg.

Gettysburg Paranormal Association

The Gettysburg Paranormal Association hosts five different tours, each focusing on a different location and set of stories. Pricing starts at $9 per person. For a more in-depth experience, opt for one of the two ghost hunts. Participants travel to the most haunted locations in town with cameras and experienced guides to witness ghosts up close.

Gettysburg Ghost Tours

The guides on the Gettysburg Ghost Tours follow their own distinct route. Each one-hour tour is family friendly and features more talking than walking. Reservations are recommended. Participants will explore haunted houses, cemeteries and battlefields.

Haunted Gettysburg Tours

Paranormal experts using high-tech equipment lead this tour. Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras, video cameras and tape recorders to potentially experience a ghost on their own.

Historic Farnsworth House Inn

The haunted Historic Farnsworth House Inn hosts several tours through its premises, including private tours.
