One of the most enjoyable parts of traveling is taking the time to pick out special trinkets to bring home to family and friends. Some people prefer to take the easy way out and find items in gift shops, but you should try and put a little more thought into it than that. Here are a few ideas to get you started.
Handmade Clothes
Shirts plastered with the name of a foreign city or country and a couple landmarks are cute, but you can find those at Old Navy. Instead, opt for something hand woven and unique to the area you’re visiting.
Handmade Crafts
If you don’t want to try and guess someone’s shirt size, go for some artistic crafts instead. A great bowl or piece of jewelry is always a good option. Statues also made for nice decorations.
Food
Food is a wonderful thing, and some of the so-called foreign restaurants in America are closer to cheap knock-offs than authentic cuisine. Bring back some non-perishable goods like candy to spread the love.
Money
You certainly don’t have to break the bank here, but a lot of people love to collect bills and coins from foreign countries. Save a small stash from your trip and gift them to the money lovers in your life.
