If you love the great outdoors but still enjoy the comforts of your own home, glamping is the experience for you! Brooklyn-based tour operator TerraVelo Tours invites guests to experience the beauty of the Catskill Mountains in comfort and luxury.
The all-inclusive experience in Woodstock, N.Y., includes a safari-style 12 foot by 14 foot canvas sleeping tent outfitted with plush memory-foam beds, Italian linens, rugs, dressers, lamps and a clock. Staff greets guests upon arrival with hors d’oeuvres and drinks. A private chef prepares three meals per day, complete with wines from New York and Napa Valley. After settling in, guests can take advantage of the nightly live music and other activities. Helmets and bicycles are available for the cycling enthusiasts. Hike along the nature trails. Take a dip in a nearby swimming hole or go on a rafting expedition. A van stocked with cold drinks and snacks is available at all times. If you prefer to relax, swing in a hammock then indulge in s’mores by the campfire while gazing at the stars.
Each excursion is limited to nine tents with a maximum of 18 guests total. Tour price includes transfers from Woodstock’s closest train station, all meals, snacks, activities, luxury accommodations and additional excursions. Prices per tent (two guests) vary. Tours begin in mid-July and run through mid-October. Book your weekend today.
