Gondwana Ecotours recently announced an eight-day Alaska Northern Lights Adventure. Indulge in local culture by day and be dazzled by the Aurora Borealis under the massive Alaskan sky by night.

Highlights of the tour include dogsledding in snowy forests, curling lessons from locals, enjoying a meal filled with local dishes with homesteaders, soaking in geothermal hot springs, learning the art of photographing the Aurora Borealis, snowshoeing and drinking tea with a family of reindeer herders.
This season is special because the solar maximum, also known as the highest rate of solar activity during the sun’s 11-year solar cycle, is expected to hit between late 2024 and 2026. This can result in higher activity of Aurora Borealis.

The tour company offers a variety of Alaska Northern Light experiences from September 2024–March 2025. On the Alaska Northern Lights Adventure, guests will view the Northern Lights from a family-owned lodge offering stunning panoramic views. Throughout the day, guests can explore Fairbanks, wander through the ice sculpture museum, have a drink in an ice bar and discover how locals live.
