Help Ease the Hunger Crisis with Feed Bags

Lauren Bush saw the effects of hunger firsthand when she was traveling through Cambodia as a World Food Programme honorary spokesperson and knew she had the power to create something that could help. Drawing inspiration from childhood malnutrition, she decided to build a business that gave back. Each FEED bag has a number stamped on which stands for the number of school meals donated to children abroad suffering from hunger.

Feed Projects is a social business that also brings work to artisans in the same developing countries. Feed works with artisans in Columbia, Guatemala, Haiti, India and Kenya — the same countries in which the meals are delivered.

Feed Projects states, “Research shows that when children are given school meals, attendance doubles and performance greatly improves. Girls with just a few years of education have fewer children, have them later in life and are better prepared to care for and educate them. For many children, a school lunch is the only meal they receive all day.”

Each bag purchase is usually equivalent to feeding one child for an entire school year and they make great travel bags for long and short ventures.
