HeyLets makes the process of discovery social by enabling users to tell others about experiences like outdoor activities, hotel stays and visits to restaurants and nightlife venues on the social network with a photo and mobile-friendly, 180-character description.
After signing up, Heylets asks users about their interests and builds a portfolio of recommendations tailored to their specific preferences, preventing users from having to sift through irrelevant information. The reviews made available to users changes depending on their locations and specific interests.
Users can follow people on the app, such as friends, experts and celebrities whose experiences inspire them. To stay up-to-date on popular destinations and cities, users can also view trending experiences to get inspired on their travels or choose to browse the app’s recommendations in cities around the world, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Sydney, Melbourne, Toronto and Vancouver

The travel company’s study focused on the 50 busiest airports, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Upgraded Points then analyzed Google and Yelp reviews for each airport, noting mentions of “friendly” or “rude” staff or TSA. Mentions were compared to the total number of reviews to calculate a ratio of positive to negative interactions, with each airport scored on a scale of 0 to 5 based on the ratio of positive mentions for a possible score of 50.
