St. Anton is one of the most popular ski towns in Austria. The breathtaking scenery makes for a winter wonderland that is both adventurous and romantic. It’s a great spot for a honeymoon destination no matter the time of year.
The village is not large by any means, which offers a quaint and charming place to relax and spend some time alone. The streets are immensely walkable — just make sure to bundle up! — with a variety of shops and restaurants. Since it is such a prominent ski town, you’ll want to visit the St. Anton Museum to learn all about the sports history in the region. There’s also the world-famous Alberg Wellness Spa in the center of the resort. It has both indoor and outdoor pools and plenty of spa treatments to help you relax.
Of course, while skiing is always an option here, you can also head up the peaks even if you’re not that into it. There are trams that’ll get you to the top of Mt. Valluga for incredible views. If you visit in the summer, partake in any of the dozens of hiking trails around the village. One of the most popular things to do in St. Anton is tobogganing. The toboggan run follows a 2.5-mile track and gives visitors quite a rush!
