Have you ever watched television and tuned into the live studio audience, wondering how those people got the chance to be part of a live broadcast or taping? Getting free tickets to attend a show is actually a lot easier than you might think. Here are some tips on where to get them and what you should wear for your big moment in front of the camera.
Where to Get Tickets:
If you are in the New York City area or will visit in the future, getting tickets to shows such as Good Morning America or The View can easily be done by making an account on 1iota. Simply request the tickets and wait for an email saying you scored a seat in the audience. Arrive early to the location. Sometimes studios will overbook the tickets to ensure they have a full audience. 1iota also has tickets for shows and events in California, Illinois and sometimes other states depending on the show. These tickets are free and you may leave the studio with a fun giveaway.
What to Wear:
You landed your tickets and now you are stressed on what to wear. Bright solid colors look best on camera and will make you stand out. Do not wear stripes or anything with herringbone. This shows up pixelated on viewers’ televisions at home. Instead, watch clips from previous shows to get an idea of the color scheme of the set and choose a complementary solid color for your five minutes of fame. As for accessories, do not wear multiple bracelets that may make noise or jewelry that is overly shiny. Pick pieces that are pretty but won’t be a distraction to the host.
