Summer doesn’t necessarily mean you must spend every waking minute by the ocean or pool. Opt for a trip beneath open skies, amidst Southern charm and natural wonder, and surrounded by bayous and swamps. You’ll find all this and more in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Water Adventures and Wildlife Await
Begin the day with a sunrise paddle through LSU Lakes, a popular spot for kayaking and canoeing, too. Over at Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, you can walk through cypress-tupelo swamps and spot turtles, alligators and native birds.
