Always wanted World of Hyatt Explorist status, but never quite been able to achieve it through your own travel? Well, there might be a new workaround you can use to your advantage.
If you’re already an American Airlines AAdvantage member with elite status, if you link your World of Hyatt and American Airlines Advantage accounts, you can register for a new offer from Hyatt and receive a trial World of Hyatt status that gives you travel perks for up to three months.
To qualify, you must be an American Airlines AAdvantage Gold, Platinum, Platinum Pro or Executive Platinum member and you must also have a World of Hyatt account, regardless of World of Hyatt status. Then, you must register for the limited-time trial status offer on the World of Hyatt website. You can register through Nov. 30. Once you register, you’ll immediately receive World of Hyatt Explorist status for the next 90 days.
However, you can extend your status beyond 90 days in a few ways. World of Hyatt issued challenge activities for you to complete during your 90-day Explorist status trial run. If you complete the qualifying activity, you’ll receive either World of Hyatt Explorist or Globalist status through February 2023 (though you do need American Airlines AAdvantage Executive Platinum status to upgrade from World of Hyatt Explorist status to Globalist status). If you also stay 10 tier-qualifying nights at World of Hyatt properties, you’ll earn Explorist status through February 2024.
However long your newly upgraded World of Hyatt status lasts, you’ll be able to enjoy great perks like dedicated check-in areas, late check-out times, room upgrades, complimentary breakfast and club lounge access.
