Standing desks are becoming all the rage and a majority of companies are investing in them for employees. Sitting all day makes workers sluggish, less focused and with terrible posture. The standing desks can give those sitting all day the flexibility to stand and move around, leaving you freer to get necessary activity — standing desk or not. Standing desks have been found to have numerous health benefits like reducing the risk of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and to boost moods and alertness.

Like all things, some standing desks are better than others, whether they are more customizable, affordable, adjustable, durable or overall fit better in the workspace. There are many standing desks out there; be sure to find the one that fits you best.

While standing all day at work may be beneficial, it also has its pitfalls like hyperextending your knee, which is caused by putting too much pressure on the fibular nerve. Be sure to continue movement throughout the body, moving the neck and shoulders. Figure out what works, maybe stand for two hours and then sit for three. Everything is better in moderation.
