In all of my years of flying, a recent trip to Antigua was my first time flying JetBlue. I was impressed with JetBlue’s beautiful Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport. It boasts dozens of food, beverage and retail stores and 29 gates. After weighing my options, I grabbed a coffee and breakfast sandwich at Starbucks. I took advantage of the multiple charging stations and complimentary WiFi before making my way to my gate.
I was in a later boarding group, but was happy to still have room in the overhead bin for my carry-on luggage once on board. Just as I settled into my seat with ample legroom, we pushed back. Shortly after take off, the pleasant flight attendants came through with snacks and amenities including headsets and blankets for purchase. I was not hungry, so I waited for the complimentary drink and light snack service. JetBlue offers a variety of sweet and savory snacks including chips, cookies and pretzels.
JetBlue offers DirecTV to all passengers. On my flight, three movie options were available. I dozed for the beginning part of the flight and began watching Bridge of Spies in progress. I would have preferred to start the film at a time convenient to me.
My four-hour flight went by quickly, thanks in part to the friendly flight attendants and the comfortable atmosphere of JetBlue’s service. Overall, I was pleased with my first JetBlue experience and look forward to flying the airline again soon.
