Being environmentally friendly while traveling is tough, especially in areas where plastic-bottled water is a must and the options for free-range, antibiotic-free, sung-to-at-night eggs are few and far between. But thanks to the mother-daughter duo Francine and Carinne Chambers, The DivaCup is a female traveler’s way to prevail in an era when waste is at an all-time high.
“After years of experience and research we designed The DivaCup, a reusable menstrual cup that encourages a more positive period experience,” writes Francine about her award-winning design.
Yes, this is a product about periods, but more than that it’s a revolutionary way to be carefree while traveling. It’s simply a silicone cup (BPA free, of course) that is used instead of tampons — no more waste and no more emergency trips to the corner store only carrying pads. The DivaCup can be worn for up to 12 hours, making long bus rides no big thing.
“Most importantly, it’s small and easy to carry around when traveling,” says Saara Kajava, a full-time traveler and DivaCup user. When you’re trying to do 11 countries in 18 days, space is of the utmost importance. Not having to waste any of it with a slew of feminine products is worth the investment.
The DivaCup can be found in retail outlets all over the world and also online.
