Reviews / Restaurant

When visiting Luxembourg, there aren’t a ton of joints receiving exceptional reviews from tourists, but Le Sud seems to be a favorite of both visitors and locals. The upscale restaurant was a little out of my normal price range, so I was hoping to be wowed, but mostly I found both the atmosphere and food to be just okay.

It’s a French restaurant and café with a bar located on top. I believe there were five floors altogether, but I didn’t take the time to fully explore. The portion sizes here are on the small side and the menu is pretty extensive. We were given an English menu, but I understand from the other patrons this isn’t always an option.
The wait staff was extremely pleasant and eagerly explained the menu and offered great wine selections to go with the meal. After ordering from the small menu we found there was way more food then we could eat in one sitting. The salmon I had was good, but nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere was pretty exciting, with the kitchen sort of in view of the restaurant. It was laid out somewhat like a theater. The dessert portion of the meal was the real winner here, so definitely save some room if you decide to go.

The Argosaronic Islands Are Calling

The Saronic or Argo Saronic Islands of Greece call travelers to explore its seven small islands and islets brimming with history, natural sites and more. With most easily accessible by boat, the islands’ proximity to ports of Athens make the Saronic Islands an ideal destination for those preferring shorter boat rides. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips.
