A ride on Qatar Airways will make you wonder how U.S. airlines get away with such awful service. This was easily one of the best flight experiences I’ve ever had, and it’s a little disheartening to see how much is offered for cheaper tickets than I’m used to paying in my home country.
Not only was the boarding incredibly streamlined and efficient, we easily got into the air by our scheduled departure time. The seats had small TV screens for each passenger and we were given blankets, socks and other minor toiletries in case we felt the need to freshen up during the trip.
The food served was kept to Halal standards, as it’s a predominately Muslim airline, which was fine because it all tasted good. Food and drinks, including unlimited alcohol, were included in the ticket price so there was no need to whip out the credit card during this flight. We were given a full meal halfway through the flight since it was a long one.
The attendants were friendly and always on hand when needed, and they even helped me fill out an immigration form I’d never seen before without complaint. They were quick to make sure other passengers weren’t making a disturbance as well.
The flight arrived on time and the crew was more than happy to answer questions about connecting flights to the best of their ability. They had a level of customer service that was exemplary. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Qatar Airways to a friend and will definitely be using them in the near future.
