If you already have your eye on a Caribbean vacation in 2020, make a point to see and experience some of the region’s latest offerings.

St. Barth

At the luxury Christopher property on St. Barth, two new villas are open, with a third opening later in the year. The four-bedroom villas were designed by Olivia Putnam and allow guests to enjoy private home experiences with all the amenities of a luxury resort, including on-site dining and spa treatments. The property recently launched a new sustainability initiative, in which it’s creating marine cement to rebuilt Pointe Milou reef.

Anguilla

In Anguilla, Belmond Cap Juluca offers a new wellness retreat this year, July 5–9. You’ll want to get your name on the guest list quickly. The retreat is hosted by Nadia and Katia Narain, authors and fitness gurus who serve celebs such as Kate Moss. The four-night retreat includes yoga, meditation, spa treatments and water sports.

If a wellness retreat isn’t in the cards for you this year, you can always book Belmond’s Island to Island itinerary, which allows you to stay at both Belmond Cap Juluca and Belmond La Samanna, for stays on both Anguilla and St. Martin. Speaking of Belmond La Samanna, it just recently reopened in November, with a brand-new look across its guestrooms and public spaces.

Jamaica

In Jamaica, GoldenEye now offers two standalone spa huts and a new yoga deck for guests in search of wellness experiences while staying at the property. The hotel also plans to open three new cottages this summer. A new dive shop opened in November and all profits from the dive shop, which offers scuba excursions and boat tours, will benefit marine life preservation and improvement initiatives.
