If you love to indulge in a little retail therapy while you travel, you won’t want to miss a visit to this shopping mall when it opens in Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Not just your average shopping mall, the complex is planned to be the largest outlet mall in the entire Latin American region.
Grand Outlet Riviera Maya is currently being built about an eight-minute drive from Cancún Airport, or about 20 minutes from Cancún. When it opens, the luxury outlet mall will encompass nearly 200 retailers, with parking for thousands of vehicles, as well as its own, huge manmade lake. Other features will include a beach club, go-kart facilities, ice rink and climbing walls. Top brands expected to set up shop at the mall include Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas and Calvin Klein.
“Grand Outlet is a fantastic new project and clearly shows that the Cancun region is growing rapidly not only as a leading tourism destination, but an incredible place to live and work. As the population of the region increases due to hundreds of thousands of new homes being built, residents will need access to all the best brands, retailers and dining experiences,” said Mark Carney, president, GigNet Mexico, a partner of Grand Outlet Riviera Maya.
