If you thought a basic duffle bag was enough to shove the essentials in and get away for the weekend, the makers of the Nomatic travel bag had other ideas. Far from proposing a simple carry-on, they have come up with what they call “the most functional travel bag ever.”

With laptop and tablet pockets, a book pocket, a shoe compartment, a water bottle pocket and a valuables pocket, there are enough separate sections to keep your stuff safely quarantined. Each Nomatic pack even ships with a vacuum pack to compress soft items and a laundry bag to keep your dirty clothes.

The bag is carry-on size and designed to hold everything you need for a three- to seven-day trip. Despite its extreme functionality, the Nomatic has a minimalist design which fits with the current trend for sleek, unfussy design. You can quickly switch from backpack to duffel mode, depending on the situation you find yourself in.

The bag will retail for $200 when it hits the shelves after a successful Kickstarter campaign, which raised more than $1.2 million.
