In the days of smartphones, fewer people bring traditional, bulky, heavy cameras on vacation as modern-day phones do all the photographing, editing and posting of their favorite photos. The new age of travel photography comes with its own set of accessories that include inventive phone cases allowing travelers to turn their mobile devices into nearly professional equipment.
The Pictar One phone case is one such accessory that helps phone photographers feel like their phone is the real deal when snapping photos. From Miggö — a company that designs accessories for easily and comfortably toting photography equipment — the Pictar One case is ergonomically designed to snugly slide over any reasonably current iPhone (from models 4s to 8) and provide a no-slip grip for snapping photos. External buttons rest right on top of the phone’s photo-taking buttons and include a shutter release, a zoom dial and a selfie button. The bottom of the case also features a quarter-inch tripod socket.
Pictar One owners can download the PictarApp for free, providing access to additional features such as manual focus, connected with the device via Bluetooth.
Miggö’s Pictar One camera case is sold on its website for $99.99 or on Amazon.com for varying prices.
