Charity Miles is the free iPhone and Android app helping exercise enthusiasts earn money for charities while walking, running or biking.
Here’s how it works: Launch the app, select a charity and start running, walking or biking — it’s as simple as that! The charity of your choice earns money for every mile you cover. Walkers and runners earn up to 25 cents per mile and bikers earn up to 10 cents per mile. Charity Miles uses your phone’s GPS to calculate your distance. Make sure the geo-location services are enabled. If exercising indoors, choose the indoor walk or indoor run setting. The app does not work for indoor biking.
Each time you launch the app, you have the opportunity to select your preferred charity. Participating charities include The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Partnership for a Healthier America, ASPCA, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The Nature Conservatory, Habitat for Humanity, the Wounded Warrior Project, Stand up to Cancer, Autism Speaks and more.
Download the app for your iPhone or Android. The app is free to download. Follow Charity Miles on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
