You don’t realize how useful a solid pair of sunglasses is until you have one — especially on vacation, where, for some reason, it always seems sunnier. A lot of people pass off sunglasses as a cosmetic and unnecessary purchase simply because they make you look cool (at the same time, that’s the only reason others buy them).
But the fact of the matter is, sunglasses are healthy, kind of like suntan lotion for your eyes. UV rays damage your eyes just like your skin, arguably even worse. Overexposure can make your eyes bloodshot, swollen, or overly sensitive — especially for those with blue eyes. Not wearing sunglasses can even lead to Snow Blindness, an awfully ironic thing to catch at the beach.
However, a quality pair of sunglasses — that is, sunglasses not bought from the back of a van — can alleviate most of the risk. They can keep your eyes healthy, protected and all the while make you look cool.
If you’re looking for a pair of sunglasses that won’t break the bank, check out Ray-Ban‘s website. They’re one of the less expensive of the top sunglasses brands (that is to say, they’re mostly under $200), but they’re well-made, well-designed and dependable.
It’s rare your superficial desires coincide with your responsible ones … don’t waste this opportunity; buy a cool pair of shades.
