Anyone who travels knows the hassle of being packed and ready to get onto a flight only to have it canceled at the last minute. Now what? You still have to get to your destination, but without the flight you originally booked and paid. Enter Freebird, a new rebooking service that instantly rebooks you on another flight (on any airline) after a cancelation, a significant delay (four hours or more) or a missed connection for no additional cost.

The process to rebook only takes three minutes so you don’t have to worry about standing in line and repeatedly explaining your situation before anyone is willing to help. There is no need to download another app onto your phone as the service tracks delays and cancelations and will send you a text message to alert you to the change in flight status. Freebird initially costs $19 for a one-way flight or $34 for a round-trip with varying fees for each initial flight. Most travel insurance doesn’t cover canceled or delayed flights, but the original ticket is still yours so you can try to get a refund for the first flight while being rebooked and on your way to your destination.
