I arrived to Chicago O’Hare International Airport and made my way to the hotel shuttle station at ground transportation. The Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center offers guests 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport, departing the hotel every 30 minutes. The property is a quick drive from the airport. When I arrived to check-in, my room was not yet ready. The front desk attendant took my phone number to text me when the room was available. It was lunchtime, so he directed me toward the on-site restaurant.

Right when I placed my lunch order, I received a text saying my room was ready — much quicker than I anticipated. Still, I leisurely enjoyed my lunch. The soup and salad was a great choice and were flavorfully prepared and nicely presented. After finishing my meal, I checked in and made my way to my room on the 14th floor. The spacious standard room featured a king bed and large sofa with ottoman. In addition to other standard amenities, the room boasted double paned windows to eliminate sound from the airport. I appreciated the complimentary WiFi.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to experience the property’s pool or fitness center, as I only stayed one night and checked out early the next morning. I did, however, have time to enjoy breakfast before my departure. I opted for the buffet and sampled eggs, fruit and a pastry along with my coffee.

The Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center offers meetings and weddings options, ideal for its close proximity to the airport. It’s perfect for business travelers or anyone traveling through O’Hare.
