San Francisco celebrates wine, music, entertainment and local fare with their annual wine festival Uncorked. Located in the courtyard of Ghirardelli Square, the public event typically spills onto Beach Street with more than 7,000 people in attendance.
The event is partnered by local, non-profit organization Bay Area Green Tours, making for a more sustainable and green affair. The event is open to the public and attendees can spend the day enjoying live music, local food, shopping, crafting and more.
The actual wine tasting requires a ticket, which ranges from $60 for the basic tasting and $90 for the VIP package. VIP ticketholders receive a wine glass and unlimited tastings throughout the event.
Uncorked feels more like a grand block party than a festival, with many activities, entertainment and top-tiered wines. The event focuses on supporting local business, sustainability and the community, so overall Uncorked is a day well spent.
