There’s nothing more valuable when you’re overseas than your passport. It’s your way across countries and ticket home so it’s imperative you don’t lose it. Luckily, iWallet designed a nifty and secure device to keep your passport safe.

The iPassport is a biometric locking device that requires your fingerprint for access. That’s right, no one but you can get inside this thing. It’s made of leather and carbon fiber with a decent grip that prevents your passport from slipping out in transit.

It also comes with RF shielding against reading devices designed to hack into it. You can even tether it to another device like your Bluetooth or smartphone. If the device moves too far away from your iPassport an alarm will sound. You’ll never walk off without it again.

The iPassport weighs only 5.6 ounces and fits securely in your pocket or purse. The website claims ,more than 300,000 passports are lost or stolen each year in the United States alone, so it might make this purchase worthwhile. However, it doesn’t come cheap.

The iPassport retails for $599 and can be found in high-end retailers like Neiman Marcus. It was recently released to the public so expect it to start showing up on Amazon or eBay soon.
