Technology has a way of taking the easiest, simplest chore and turning it into a few seconds of your time. Smartduvet is finally here — the world’s first, easy and universal bed-making solution.
The seamless device places your duvet and sheets back into position every morning. Smartduvet is a non-permanent technology that simply attaches to your duvet and, once attached, slips into your duvet cover perfectly.
It’s not meant to replace your bed, but merely enhance it. The design features an inflatable layer between the duvet and the cover controlled by an app. With a few clicks, Smartduvet can be activated to make your bed instantly. The app even allows you to schedule each day and time you wish the bed making to occur.
The inflatable layer is made of space-age, lightweight, breathable material and also includes an air pump. The smart system allows users to attach the duvet to the sheets to keep them properly in place.
While this device may seem useful to those who are lazy or simply do not enjoy making their beds, it can really help elderly or people with disabilities, as they can face challenges when it comes to making beds.
The project, currently on Kickstarter, has raised about $5,000 of its $22,000 goal. A queen-sized bed set will cost around $289, which includes an air pump, standard duvet and a cover. Products should start shipping by May.
