Dubai is home to one of the world´s tallest buildings, but while the Burj Khalifa may be tallest building in the city, adventurous attractions are about to reach new heights.
Construction is currently underway for Aykon City, a new luxury hotel complex that will include six towers of hotel rooms, apartments and boutique offices. Atop the tallest tower will be a glass-enclosed hall known as Aykon Dare that will let guests peer out to the land below and beyond. With glass floors and an outdoor walkway, one of the building´s main attractions, its skywalk, will be a feat for the brave.
After climbing to the tower´s 78th floor, daredevils will be strapped into harnesses as they walk along the glass-floored roof with views of the city beneath them. Visitors will experience the feeling of walking on air above Dubai while safely attached and secured in a harness. Ten guests can access the skywalk at a time, making the experience not only exclusive but also less crowded with nervous walkers.
Once Aykon City opens, it will be a veritable city within a city. Spas, cafés, running tracks, beach clubs, shops and copious restaurants will cater to guests and visitors in the complex that surrounds the Dubai Canal.
