We all have that one friend, coworker or distant cousin who is addicted to travel: They post envy-worthy photos of their trips that make us want to pack it all up and book the next flight out of town. Instead of poring through hundreds of pages of travel books, why not pick the brains of your well-traveled network? Spot helps you do just that.
Currently in beta testing, the new website/app will let you connect with people in your social networks and share the best of what to see and do in destinations all over the world. If you and your cousin have the same love for Roman architecture, Spot will allow you to exchange suggestions for sites in major European cities, for example.
Based on your interests and what you want to see, you will be allowed to save “spots” in your account and come back to them when you are planning your adventures. Instead of spending hours reading random online reviews from complete strangers, without knowing what may or may not have happened to skew their view, Spot’s selections and suggestions are from people you know and trust so you can be sure you’ll enjoy what you see.
Why leave your precious travel time to a guidebook author or an angry tourist? Cultivate your own journey with Spot.
