After a devastating hurricane season last year, St. Barths hotels prepare to reopen for the 2018– 19 vacation season. In addition to repairing from hurricane damage, many hotels took this time to conduct other refurbishments or expand properties.

The first to open is Hotel Le Toiny, Oct. 15, with the addition of eight new villa suites, each with its own kitchen, terrace, ocean-view pool and private garden landscaping. A select few of the new villa suites feature two-story floorplans and bay views.

The same week, Hotel Christopher St. Barth reopens with new renovations and updates to all 42 guestrooms and suites. The property’s spa and fitness center get an update and new equipment. The infinity pool was retiled and, apart from the aesthetics, the property also now boasts new menus at two restaurants.

Later that month, Le Bathelemy Hotel & Spa opens with new two- and three-bedroom beachfront suites. Plus, the property updated its spa and dining spaces and added a late-night rooftop bar.

In November, Le Sereno Hotel reopens, launching a new restaurant with totally redesigned guestrooms. New family suites include private pools and a new fitness center features an enhanced spa.

Lastly, in December, Cheval Blanc St. Barth Isle de France opens after significant renovations to the guestrooms, spa, bar and two dining areas. Toward the end of the month, Eden Rock Hotel reopens with newly designed guestrooms. Two new suites with pools are available.

Additional properties on St. Barths still plan to reopen for the fall season, but have not specified dates yet — Guanahani Hotel, Emmeraude Plage Hotel, Tropical Hotel and Carl Gustaf Hotel.
