When shopping for souvenirs, it’s always important to keep in mind that one special lady in your life. That’s right, we’re talking about your mom. Hopefully, you’ve already got your girlfriend covered.
Here are a few ideas for trinkets you can bring home to the woman who birthed you.
Jewelry
In some foreign countries, like Thailand, jewelry that would otherwise cost hundreds of dollars can be found for next to nothing. Slip some gold earrings or a necklace into your bag as a surprise for next Mother’s Day.
Clothes
We’re not going to tell you to try and guess your mother’s dress size, so stick with casual items like scarves and hats that are one size fits all. Aim for something unique you wouldn’t be able to find back in America
Crafts
Handmade crafts from different countries are excellent gifts your mom will surely treasure. She can place them on a mantle or on the wall. Just try to keep her particular taste in mind, or it might end up stashed in a drawer, instead.
Photos
This might seem silly, but moms really do love having pictures of you. Share these exciting parts of your life by putting together a photo album that includes pictures from your trip in addition to memories from your childhood.
Food
Everyone loves food, so gather up some goods that won’t go bad during the flight home to give to mama. Treats like cookies and chocolate are always great options and certainly won’t break the bank.
