For delicious steaks in an upscale environment, there might be no better place in Charlotte than The Capital Grille. It’s become somewhat of a tradition for my cousin and I to hit up the Grille when I’m in Charlotte and I’d highly recommend it to any visitor looking for a great meal.
During our most recent visit, I ordered the aged NY strip cooked medium while my cousin ordered salmon. Both were absolutely stunning in preparation, appearance and taste. Of course, it’s not a real trip to The Capital Grille without devouring some of their famous lobster mac ‘n cheese. We’ve made trips solely for heaping helpings of that before, and there’s no shame in doing the same if you choose.
The service at the Grille is well above average, though occasionally you might find a stinker among the wait staff. It doesn’t happen often, though. The managers here are on point and always check in to see if everything is working well for you.
The Capital Grille is a fantastic place to take a date, treat the family or just grab a bite with friends. The place tends to get packed in the evenings, though service still holds up well during this time.
Now, the price is somewhat high, but I think you pretty much pay for what you get here. For a chain restaurant, this place is a standout and serves up food that tastes better than most non-chain joints around.
The next time you find yourself in Charlotte, you should definitely stop in for a bite.
