Within the past year, most have been flocking to Denver to see how the city has implemented legal marijuana into society, but what many have also discovered is an incredible food scene filled with culinary creativity and cultured options. Here are the three best new restaurants recently opened in the city.
Cho77
The new Southeast Asian restaurant on Broadway is a product of Chef Lon Symensa who also opened up Cholon Bistro in Denver, which was an instant hit. Cho77 is meant to be a more casual dining environment with the same quality food as his higher-end Cholon Bistro. The name is a spinoff of popular pho restaurants commonly with a number at the end of the name. Cho77 offers small dim sum-sized bites that will melt you into a Southeast Asian heaven in the heart of the Mile High City.
Torchy’s Tacos
It just opened and it already has a regular line out the door as if everyone from its home city Austin called Denver and told them to line up. It’s the first city outside of Texas the chain has opened, but they’re not stopping anytime soon. The Tex Mex-style tacos, burritos and margaritas keep the people coming. This month, look for the mash-up taco of the month: chicken and waffles in a taco.
Avanti F&B
This new little city gem is for the people who can’t make a group consensus on food choice. It’s a food court-style restaurant that offers a little bit of a lot. With incredible views of the city from an inviting and open space, you can choose from seven different culinary options in Denver’s newest modern day food hall inspired by food truck round-ups.
