The Postal Museum in London, England, is going to be exposing London’s secret underground for the first time in 2016.
The Post Office Underground Railway — the world’s first driverless, electrified railway — ran under the streets of London between 1927 and 2003. The Postal Museum will open this world marvel as an exhibition to the public, and even develop an underground ride with replica trains to open in 2019.
While travelers still have another year before they can add this to their itinerary, it’s never too early to keep it on the radar. For the underground ride, an average trail will hold about 21 passengers, and a ride will last about 15 minutes.
The museum will also feature interactive displays and hands-on activities to explore the sights and sounds of the railway alongside the stories of how global communication has transformed over the past 400 years.
