The Stache Shield: Mustache Protector for the Modern Man

Bearded fellas, keep your upper lip protected from whatever you eat and drink with The Stache Shield, a simple but functional device designed to keep your mustache clean and dry.

Getting some foam on your mustache while sipping a beer and finding crumbs after eating a meal is inevitable for those sporting facial hair. But donning a mustache or beard no longer has to be inconvenient at mealtime with The Stache Shield.

To keep facial hair from getting soggy with food and drink, Sweden-based Odd Company created a modern version of the mustache shield, a device dating back to the 1890s.

The item features a metal plate hanging on a string. When it comes time to sip spirits and eat a meal, users can place the curved top of The Stache Shield just below the nose. The entire metal divider is made in the general shape of a mustache in order to provide full protection. Users can also attach the item to a glass so it functions like a dam.

When not in use, the portable Stache Shield can be tucked away in a pocket or worn as a necklace.

Odd Company recently ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for The Stache Shield. The item is available for pre-order for $20, with 10 percent of the sales going to the Movember Foundation.
