Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap, Cambodia, debut extensive renovations.
“We are very excited to invite guests to visit our exceptional properties in Cambodia, Raffles Hotel Le Royal and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor. Preserving the beautiful history of both locations, while offering refreshed experiences to our guests, is something we pride ourselves in. Both new and returning guests alike will once again revel in exceptional cultural experiences, and the intimate and personalized service for which Raffles is world renowned,” said Omer Acar, CEO, Raffles Hotels & Resorts.
Originally opened in 1929, Raffles Hotel Le Royal underwent widespread renovations to its 175 guestrooms and suites, restaurants and public spaces. Guestrooms and suites are decorated to combine traditional Khmer design with Art Deco elements. Restaurant Le Royal is the only restaurant in Cambodia offering a Royal Khmer experience, with centuries-old dining rituals and traditional recipes from the Cambodian royal family.
Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor reopened in late 2022 following a refresh. The luxury property first opened in 1932 with 63 rooms and private bathrooms — an innovation at the time. The 119 refurbished guestrooms and suites feature Khmer art and furnishings alongside Art Deco touches, including black and white marble floors.
