Museum of the American Revolution 

Opened in 2017, the museum examines the creation of the United States of America. There are several interactive exhibits for children. Admission is free for children 5 and under. The museum offers discounted admission to children ages 6–17.

 

Once Upon a Nation 

Once Upon a Nation features storytellers at 13 stops throughout the Old City neighborhood, recounting brief tales of Philadelphia’s history. Collect a stamp at each stop to earn a free carousel ride at Franklin Square.

 

Philadelphia Zoo 

The first zoo in the United States is home to more than 1,300 animals, including rare and endangered species. Special programming takes place throughout the year.

 

The Franklin Institute 

The popular science museum boasts many interactive exhibits perfect for children, including the iconic walk-through exhibit “Giant Heart.” The museum also houses an IMAX theater and planetarium.
