Most of the year, England can be a dark, dreary and rainy place to visit. During the summer, however, Brits and visitors to the royal land flock to the English countryside for some of the year´s most exciting festivals. Gather your mates and grab a few tickets to England´s best summer festivals.

 

Folk in a Field

During the first three days of July out in the wooded fields of Norfolk, the sounds of folk and acoustic music ring through the trees. Craftspeople will be working while attendees can observe and purchase items, and ciders and food are sold all weekend.

  FarmFest Somerset hosts the UK´s annual FarmFest during the last weekend in July. Music and other performing arts come together to put on a three-day spectacle of comedy, spoken word, live concerts and theatre productions.

Secret Garden Party

Mud wrestling, elaborate costumes, paint fights and explosive fireworks are just a few elements to expect from the Secret Garden Party. Be yourself and let loose at this celebration of everything art and music.

 

  Womad Tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside (100 miles from London) is a three-day festival at the end of July that celebrates all art forms, from music to dance and everything in between. The family-friendly environment welcomes art-lovers of all ages.  

 

Electric Daisy Carnival

The who´s who of EDM make their way to the Electric Daisy Carnival at the Milton Keynes National Bowl, approximately one hour northwest of London. World-famous DJs like Avicii, Robin Schulz, Eric Prydz and Martin Garrix perform at this one-day festival July 9.
