St. Louis Cathedral
St. Louis Cathedral, the iconic building located in the French Quarter’s Jackson Square, is the oldest continuously active Roman Catholic Church in the United States. Visit Jackson Square to see the exterior, or attend one of several weekly services.

Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar
Located on Bourbon Street in the heart of the French Quarter, Lafitte’s Blacksmith Shop Bar is one of the oldest buildings in the Crescent City. Built in the early 1700s, the bar was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1970.

Saint Louis Cemetery
Saint Louis Cemetery is made of three separate Roman Catholic cemeteries in New Orleans. All graves are aboveground vaults. Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau is buried in Saint Louis No. 1.

George Washington Cable House
Home to author George Washington Cable, who wrote of Creole life, the historic house is located in the Garden District. It was built in the 1870s and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1962.

The Cabildo
The Cabildo served as New Orleans’ city hall through the early 19th century. In 1911 the building became part of the Louisiana State Museum.
