After seeing the go-to spots like the White House and U.S. Capitol, head inside and see the natural wonders of the worldin the National Museum of Natural History. The Smithsonian Institution is located within the Mall, so you wont have to venture too far to see all the museum system has to offer.

The Smithsonian National Zoo
The Smithsonian National Zoo is free and a must see in any season, especially now with a baby panda on-site. The Zoo is home to many animals, but panda bears Mei Xian, Tian Tian and their baby Bei Bei are stealing the show.

United States Botanic Garden
After seeing every memorial, national landmark and monument, head to the United States Botanic Garden With exotic plants and unique flower species, this beautiful, glass-domed conservatory is a must see, even in the wintertime.

Finally it is time to eat, and with Washington, D.C.’s Restaurant Week this month, there are so many great places to choose from. D.C. is known for their eclectic foodie scene and there are great deals being offered at some of the more exclusive eateries.
