With the holidays slowly approaching, travel insurance company VisitorsCoverage, Inc released data on the most popular holiday travel destinations. Since the holiday season is expensive, travelers expect to book budget-friendly travel, enjoy immersive experiences and purchase trip and travel insurance.
According to the data from VisitorsCoverage, Inc., the survey found Americans plan to travel internationally during the months of November and December. Top destinations include:
Israel
The survey found 9.7 percent of travelers plan to travel to the Middle Eastern country this season. Israel offers rich history and culture for travelers to explore. Some can’t-miss experiences include the Nazareth lights and outdoor markets decorated for the holidays.
Spain
Spain is another popular destination this holiday season, with 8.6 percent of travelers planning to visit the country’s many landmarks, including the Royal Palace and Prado Museum in the capital of Madrid, as well as take part in culinary experiences like paella-making classes and tapas dining.
Canada
Canada offers diverse landscapes, cultures, history and experiences, making it the ideal destination for 6.5 percent of travelers this holiday season. Every trip is unique, and travelers have the opportunity to customize their adventures.
Colombia
The survey also found 5.4 percent of Americans plan to escape the cold and head to Colombia for its beautiful beaches and landscapes.
Italy
History and culinary enthusiasts head to Italy this holiday season. With planned trips to the Vatican, vineyards, unique shopping and more, Italy is the perfect destination for any type of traveler.
