Advertised as a travel-dating site, TourBar’s purpose is to link travelers based on their interests and hobbies to foster ‘matches.’ When creating your profile, you can select that you are looking for friends, adventure, a soulmate or a job.
With the online platform, you can create a profile with your name, age and location. You can list future trips that you plan to take, or note you are willing to guide people in your home city.
TourBar ensures all of its users are verified with an uploaded form of identification and/or mobile phone confirmation, eliminating an uncomfortable first meeting with a fraud.
As a home-city guide or a traveler, you can browse the database for travelers or guides, or all users in general. If you choose to be a guide in your home city, you can select what options you are willing to offer, from airport pick-up to language translator to general advice when selecting a hotel or restaurant.
