What’s better than a traditional safari? How about a hot-air balloon safari?
A new offering from Aardvark Safaris is the first trans-Serengeti balloon safari expedition. The tour launches in November with a six-day experience starting and ending in Arusha, Tanzania. Each day includes a hot-air balloon trip to the next destination on the itinerary. Even nightly accommodations position travelers far above ground, with star cocoon tents offering spectacular natural views.
After arriving via hot-air balloon in each day’s destination, travelers enjoy walking safaris and driving tours. Highlights along the way include seeing the Frankfurt Zoological Society’s de-snaring work up close and personal, flying over Kopjes cheetah habitats and visiting Lake Victoria.
The special safaris start at $10,300 per person, based on a two-person booking. The rate includes transfers, four nights of star cocoon stays, two nights at an inn, hot-air balloon travel, all safari experiences, and guided activities and flights between Arusha and Serengeti.
If, however, a hot-air balloon safari, while certainly unique, isn’t exactly your cup of tea, don’t worry. Aardvark Safari brings the same level of luxury and creativity to its extensive lineup of tours, with safaris focusing on other themes like horseback riding, mountain treks, migrations, beaches, water excursions and more.
