Getting stuck on the road or in transit without a fully charged smartphone, laptop or tablet can feel daunting, but not being able to find a nearby power outlet for miles upon miles can be downright tragic. Like many travel conundrums, these issues aren’t ones the everyday traveler considers preparing for until they actually happen, but devising a solution before you even leave your house can prevent the in-the-moment anxiety when you desperately need Google Maps.

Tundras sells an inventive solution to the above problem: a solar-powered power bank that only needs a bit of sunlight to bring juice back into your electronic devices. The silicone, waterproof, oval-shaped power bank measures 6 inches by 3 inches, and is only 1 inch wide, weighing all of 4.6 ounces. It easily snaps onto a backpack or piece of luggage via a durable hook and can soak up power throughout the day, typically taking approximately four to five hours to fully power up.

When you’re ready to plug in your devices, you can choose from one of two USB ports, and a green light will illuminate as the battery begins to charge. As the charging continues, the lights flash with more frequency, and once the light turns blue, the device has been charged in full.

The Tundras solar-powered charger can be purchased on Amazon.com for $10, or on other retail outlet websites for varying prices.
