With summer in full swing, it’s time to spend more time outside soaking up Vitamin D. Spend the summer sitting by the pool, enjoying the nice weather and having a fun-filled day. Whether hanging out at your own pool, a family member’s or friend’s pool, follow this guide for the ultimate pool day.
First, make sure you have all the necessary supplies. One of the most important things is sunscreen. Even if you put it on before you go out, you’ll need to bring it with you so you can reapply throughout the day — there is nothing worse than getting a bad sunburn. Next, you will need plenty of water. Being in the sun all day can really dehydrate you, so make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the day. With these two things in hand, you’re off to the right start.
Next, you’ll need to have good snacks, great music and pool toys with floats. Relaxing and playing in the pool is bound to work up an appetite, so have snacks, like chips and salsa, fruit and veggies. Having music as background noise can make the day more enjoyable. And lastly, pool toys and floats make the day more fun. One of the best pool toys is an inflatable pong table. Get a good tournament going and see who is the best of the best. For a relaxed mood, float around the pool.
A bonus item to have on deck is a book. There is nothing more relaxing than laying by the pool, getting your tan on and diving into a nice book.
