You probably think it is nearly impossible to spend a day on an island nation like Fiji without spending more than $100, especially given the number of islands. In the interest of making the most out of a single day, these tips will focus on the main island.
First things first, head to Bulaccino. This café has excellent coffee and a full breakfast menu. The entire breakfast menu is available all day, and a sandwich will cost you less than $10.
After a filling breakfast, grab a short ride to the Koroyanitu National Heritage Park. This park is perfect for hiking all morning. There are excellent sights to behold, such as the sleeping giant, Mount Batimalu. Spend the morning hours exploring the park and visiting the four villages within its lands. You won’t be able to see the whole park, but you will certainly work up an appetite during the adventure.
For lunch, make a stop at EcoCafé Nadi. This wood-fired pizza restaurant is great for lunch. You can grab a pie for less than $20.
After lunch, get ready for a four-hour tour of Nadi. This $38 tour will introduce you to the culture and people of Fiji in a fun and educational way.
Finally, head over to Lulu Bar, Café and Restaurant for dinner. You can get a full meal for about $30.
