The sparkling gem of Lake Chelan is surrounded by rolling hillsides lined with vineyards and orchards. The area is a prime spot to spend a weekend drinking wine, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing with friends.
To start your day, breakfast at Blueberry Hills, a popular restaurant on a working blueberry farm. Prices are reasonable and you should get out of there for around $15.
Fueled up, hit the water for a spin on a stand-up paddleboard or kayak, both of which run $20 per hour (for a single kayak) at Lake Rider Sports. An hour and a half should give you plenty of time to get acquainted with the craft and enjoy the scenery, so budget $30.
Lake Chelan is home to several great wineries, like the downtown tasting room of Rocky Pond or the welcoming patio of Mellisoni Vineyards, which overlooks the lake. Tasting room fees usually run $5 to $10, and glasses can be priced around $10, so budget for a few stops at around $30.
Your remaining $25 can be spent at the Lake Chelan Winery barbecue, where you can feast on ribs and smoked chicken, or at the fantastic Local Myth Pizza downtown.
