The 28th annual Vail International Dance Festival 2016 will be held July 30–Aug. 13, in Vail, Colo.
With the picturesque Rocky Mountains as a backdrop, the festival combines performance and educational elements to celebrate the art of dance.
“It is a real pleasure to realize how these past seasons in Vail have brought together so many dancers, choreographers, musicians, and audiences,” said Damian Woetzel, artistic director, Vail International Dance Festival. “For me, the spirit of collaboration has been the most vital part of the Festival, giving artists the chance to experiment and work in new forms with new partners, and for audiences, the chance to experience this work and be a part of the art itself through our community work for children and adults alike.”
Various ticket pricing is available. Purchase the Encore Club Pass for $175. This pass includes admission to 10 performances, one free glass of wine at each performance and a souvenir water bottle. If you prefer more flexibility, purchase a lawn seat on the day of the performance for $20 at the theater or a $10 ticket for students with valid identification. A full, printable schedule is available on the website.
Local hotels offer special rates to celebrate the festival. The Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail Village offers guest discounts on parking and spa services.
