Tierno Tours and Green Earth Travel team up to bring vegetarian-friendly tours to Italy this July with the Vegano Italiano Festival. The excursion is broken up into four one-week trips during July.
During the seven-night stay, guests are based at the National Park of Cilento. Take part in daytime trips to neighboring areas including Pompeii and Positano. Learn about the wild herbs, greens and vegetables used for centuries in the traditional local dishes. Experience cooking classes, including learning how to make your own brick-oven pizza. Stops at cultural and historic sites are another aspect of the tour, and, of course, authentic Italian meals.
Tours are available on the following dates: July 4–11, July 11–18, July 18–25 and July 25–August 1. Each week features two guest hosts from the culinary and health worlds including holistic nutrition specialists and athletic bloggers.
Prices start at $2,595 per person for the week-long tour. The cost includes seven breakfasts, four lunches with wine, seven dinners with wine, accommodation for seven nights in a 4-star villa/bed and breakfast, transfers to and from the airport, site admission, an English-speaking guide and motor coach transfers.
