Although we dream of luxurious vacations on sandy beaches with any variety of alcoholic beverage in our hands, we can’t always afford such grandiose getaways. Thankfully in such an age of technological advancement, we have the ability to experience aspects of such a holiday through the power of virtual reality. While this tactic may not mean you’ll have the exact same experience as actually digging your toes into the sand on that pristine beach, the virtual journey can at least provide a preview of what it would be like in your dream destination and help you narrow down choices for your next vacation.

If you are curious about exploring an exotic adventure in Egypt or Singapore, the Thomas Cook travel agency has a line of virtual reality experiences that transport users to these faraway lands. Currently in beta-test mode, users can take flight to these locales without paying for an airline ticket just yet.

Another option from the same travel agency lets you soar over the storied Strip in Las Vegas, browse casinos and even sit front row at one of Sin City’s world-renowned shows.

Travelers who have plans to fly down under can launch a virtual reality experience from their seat onboard Qantas Airways. Explore the country’s national parks, golden coastlines and natural wonders while composing a must-see list for your impending arrival.

Gone are the days of scouring the pages of guidebooks for travel inspiration. As the future meets the present, virtual reality guides will be the new source for ideas.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
