With mild temperatures in the 60s during the day, the Destin Christmas Parade on Dec. 11, welcomes in the holiday spirit with a dose of Vitamin D. Join local residents in Destin’s Harbor Walk Village to watch festive floats and marching bands play classic Christmas favorites.
Stick around until the following night for the lighted boat parade Dec. 12. Watch boats light up the harbor with vessels illuminated with twinkling light displays. After, grab a bite to eat at Harbor Walk Village. Boats can be viewed from various docks and restaurants around the harbor. Don’t miss the fireworks display that follows after.
Ring in the New Year the right way. Listen to live, local bands throughout the Harbor Walk area. Count down the beach ball drop over the harbor at midnight and catch the fireworks for the New Year’s Eve Street Party.
Take a jump into the Gulf of Mexico on New Year’s Day with the Pelican Plunge at The Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island. Enjoy a warm cup of coffee, cocoa or gumbo after your dip to warm you back up. All proceeds benefit the Emerald Coast Foundation.
